Sorry Kohl's, You Failed.

So I just received an e-mail from Kohl's about my order:

Dear Stacy,

We're sorry, but we've modified Order Number 484****** for the following reason(s): 484******. System Cancellation.

My heart sank. I scrolled down and saw this:

Candie's Wisper Tall Boots Black 7.5 No $38.99 1 $38.99
***CANCELLED***

Seriously?! I can't find these boots at either of my local Kohl's stores, and now they're not even listed on the web-site! I've been searching for them for a month!

The thing that really bothers me is that they just sent an e-mail saying they cancelled the boots. No in-depth reason, no effort to rectify the situation, and no offer to put me on a wait list. Just a "sorry for the inconvenience."

I e-mailed them saying I wanted to cancel my entire order. It was honestly over $100 worth of merchandise. I spend a lot of money there, so this is just madness. The ONLY reason I placed the online order was to purchase the boots. I added a few other things to qualify for free shipping. If they can randomly modify my order, so can I.

I'll let you know how they handle the situation, good or bad. Right now, they have a fail rating with me. I don't think I'm being unreasonable.

I'm really not materialistic. I hardly ever spend that kind of money on a pair of shoes. It may not be a lot to some, but I like to watch my money. I pay my bills on time, in full, every month. I save up for things that I want. And I research "big" purchases. It takes me forever to choose a purse or a new pair of shoes because I'm so picky. I wait things out for the best deal. I use my coupons. I looked at several different brands and it took me months to pick out and buy my laptop.

Right now, I'm just disappointed. I was really excited about the boots. Probably too excited. Oh well.
